Elizabeth Schulte has a Master of Music degree in violin performance and a Master of Arts degree in string pedagogy from The Ohio State University, where she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Pre-College Strings Program and a member of the graduate string quartet.  Mrs. Schulte has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra, and appeared with the orchestra several times as a soloist.  Her love for teaching developed as she coordinated a string program for young students at the college’s Academy of Music.

Prior to moving to Columbus, Mrs. Schulte taught elementary, middle school and high school orchestra for the Robbinsdale School District (Minneapolis, MN) for seven years, where her orchestras received statewide recognition.  Mrs. Schulte was certified by the Minnesota State High School League as an adjudicator for string and orchestra events.  She was a conductor with the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies Summer Orchestra Program.  Active as a violinist, she also was a member of Allegro Sinfonia and the Resound String Quartet.  While in Columbus, she was a member of the Columbus Bach Ensemble for five years.

Mrs. Schulte is the founding conductor for the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestras Junior Strings, which she has directed for the past four years.  Having been on the faculty of the Suzuki Violin School of Columbus/Worthington for five years, Mrs. Schulte has done Books 1-4 Suzuki Teacher Training at Capital Suzuki Institute and Ithaca College and a Book 5-8 overview course with John Kendall in Washington D.C.  She is a member of the Columbus Music Teachers’ Association, a freelance violinist in the area, a pianist at her church, and serves as a clinician and adjudicator at schools and events in Central Ohio.  She lives in Hilliard with her husband Dave, 5-year-old Isaac and 2-year-old twins, Joseph and Rachel.
