Student Financial Assistance The Suzuki Violin School of Columbus – Worthington is committed to offering access to families of all financial means to enable them to experience the joys of musical education. In doing so, we are building a scholarship fund that will enable us to offer a variety of financial support to families. A portion of the $10.00 quarterly registration fee contributed by each family helps fund the offering of these scholarships. Please consider making an additional tax-deductible financial contribution to the School’s Scholarship Fund so we can expand the reach of our program and provide access to families who may not otherwise be able to participate in the School’s educational offerings. Due to the generous contributions of families and other supporters, we are pleased to offer two forms of financial assistance: 1) Emergency Financial Assistance – financial aid available to families on a one-time emergency basis; 2) Student Enrichment Scholarship – financial assistance offered to students/families on a longer-term basis. Emergency Financial Assistance – This financial aid is provided on a once per quarter basis and covers up to 50% of the tuition cost, not to exceed $180 per quarter per family. The scholarship is not renewable, but may be extended until application to the Student Enrichment Scholarship is possible. Applications are taken on a quarterly basis. The deadlines are as follows: August 15, November 15, and March 15. All applications must be filled out completely along with all accompanying documents to be considered. Student Enrichment Scholarship – This financial assistance is available to support families on a longer-term basis. This scholarship is for one-year and covers up to 50% of the yearly (i.e., three quarter) tuition. Financial assistance is available up to a maximum of $600 per eligible family. This scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis. Applications are accepted in August of each year with award notification being given in September. Awards commence in September and continue until May of the following year. All applications must be filled out completely along with all accompanying documents in order to be considered. The Student Financial Aid Application and Checklist are available on the website for download and printing. Completed applications and any accompanying documents should be sent to the school’s Administrator at:
