Kari Gunderson has a Bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and her Doctor of Musical Arts from Indiana University. She has taught performance and string teacher training at Florida State University, Ohio State University, and Ohio Wesleyan.  She's performed in Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, Opera Columbus, Ballet Met, and for such popular starts as Julie Andrews and Natalie Cole.

A co-founder of the Suzuki Association of Ohio, she's taught at Suzuki regional institutes and served as newsletter editor for the state organization.  Twice she's served as string chair for the Ohio Music Teachers Association, and she's written many articles for the Suzuki Association of the Americas journal and other publications.

She's proud of her many former students who bring news of their impressive awards and positions along with humor and news of their lives.  Kari loves guiding committed families into learning with self-discipline, joy, and creativity.
