Susan Walsh is a violinist, violist, cellist, and pianist. She began piano study at age three with her mother, who was a piano teacher. Her mother also encouraged Susan in her string studies, and for a two-year period when the family lived in Hugo, Oklahoma, this dedicated parent drove Susan to violin lessons in Texarkana, Texas, every other Saturday--a round trip of 240 miles!

Susan went to the University of Michigan as a viola major, and later studied cello at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She studied chamber music with the Guarneri String Quartet at the State University of New York at Binghamton, and has participated in chamber music workshops at Interlochen with the Cleveland Quartet, the Concord Quartet, and the Manhattan String Quartet.

Susan is a registered violin teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Besides teaching violin, viola, cello, and piano, Susan performs with Class Acts ensembles, the Prestige Trio, the Brighton Trio, and the Prestige Cello Duo. As a studio musician, she has performed string tracks on a number of recordings.

Susan has also produced a CD of her own original piano music, "Reflections."
